We are based in Oceanside, California, but our work spans the globe. We utilize remote design techniques that allow us to collaborate on projects anywhere in the world. Our portfolio includes projects across the Southwestern United States and in Australia. We love to work on design projects for Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Utah, Joshua Tree, Santa Cruz and Lake Tahoe.
-
We provide design services only and can refer you to local licensed contractors for your project installation. We are your design advocate during the installation phase and can provide project management, site visits, plant procurement, plant and boulder placement and furnishing selection services.

Yes, we can absolutely assist you with the HOA approval process. We're happy to provide all the necessary documentation.

A well-planned landscape can significantly enhance your home's value and curb appeal. Similar to an interior remodel, the key to a successful landscape project is starting with a conceptual masterplan. This blueprint allows you to visualize the overall design and create a roadmap for implementation.
Our team specializes in crafting comprehensive landscape masterplans tailored to your property and preferences. As a general guideline, we recommend budgeting 5% to 10% of your home's market value for a complete landscape project.
We would be happy to discuss your vision and explore how we can create a beautiful outdoor space that aligns with your budget.

Here at Flora Nativa we’re excited to help you get started on your landscape project!
To begin, we recommend gathering some information to help us create your ideal outdoor space.
It's helpful to have a project folder ready (digital or a real binder) and to start thinking about the following:
Property Map/Survey: To create your base plan, we'll need a property map or survey that clearly shows your site boundaries and the location of any existing buildings, such as your home.
Desired Features: What elements would you like to include in your project? Sun on your face, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit?
Priorities: What are your main priorities for this project? Who are the stakeholders? Who will be the spokesperson or primary point of contact to ensure clear communication?
Household Needs: Do you have pets, children, or are you planning for them in the future? Will you have an ADU with privacy and access needs? This helps us design a space that meets your needs.
Timeline: What is your desired timeline for the project?
Budget: What is your estimated budget for the project? Our goal is to help you get your project built. We can assist with creating a practical budget and timeline for your project.
Collaborators: Are you currently working with a builder, interior designer, or architect? If so, we'd love to see those plans and be brought on as early as possible in the process.
Contractor/Maintenance: Do you already have a contractor in mind for the installation, or do you know who will handle the ongoing maintenance or fine gardening?
Don't worry if you don't have all the answers right away!
At Flora Nativa we can help translate your vision into a landscape design that perfectly captures what you're looking for, even if you haven't quite found the words for it yet. That’s what we do best!
